I could have no better ally than Labor! Unions protect the well-being of the American middle class better than any other sector can. In supporting higher wages, they benefit all workers both Union and non-union.
Moreover, in living out the ideal of unity Labor provides that leadership that will be sorely needed in the face of the Fascists threats America faces today. I think that Shawn Fain said it best when he stated that Unions are the “arsenal of democracy.” We must all stand up against Donald Trump and his forces who pursue their idolatry of corporate greed in both the work place and the polling place.
I pledge to support Labor goals through whatever opportunities I can find. It would be my honor to advance legislation that supports organizing and Union actions and Union participation in State projects.
